For Lever and Pedal Harp
This familiar hymn is one of Frank’s favorites. Instead of speeding it up, he has slowed it down and turned it into a ballad – with lush jazz chords (7ths, 9ths, 11ths, 13ths), slow glisses, and p.d.l.t. This is a lovely arrangement that will linger in the congregation’s ears. There are two lever changes that repeat three times – so although there are six lever changes, it is the same lever engaged and disengaged over and over, or the same pedal change over and over.
