  • Description

Among the most popular pieces for harp, this concerto was composed by George Frederick Handel (1685-1759) in 1736. It was written for orchestra and the modern harp of its day: the single action harp. Since then, this piece has been transcribed for many difficulty levels for both pedal and lever harp, each generally coming with its own original cadenza. The three movements are: Andante Allegro, Larghetto, and Allegro moderato.

This transcription includes Grandjany's fingering and muffling notations, as well as his 57-measure virtuosic cadenza. No pedal indications are given. 16 pages.
