Return Policy

Returning Merchandise
You can return most new, unused, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a refund, as noted below:

• To request a return, you must first email me at Bytown Instruments explaining why you want to return the item.
• I'll reply to your email, letting you know whether or not I will accept the return. If I accept the return, I'll email you back with full details about how the return can be made. If there is a restocking fee due to modifications you requested to an instrument, I'll include the amount of the restocking fee in my email.
• Once I have received and inspected the returned item, I will email you again to let you know if the refund is approved or not, how much your refund will be, etc.
Shipping and handling fees will not be refunded. I will only refund the shipping costs, and pay for return shipping, if I agree that the return is due to a manufacturer's defect that I may have missed, or if I have made a mistake and sent you the wrong item.

Refunds, Credits and Balances Due
After I have received and inspected the returned item, and processed your refund, you will be notified by email. Your refund will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Defective Items
A defective item is one that is inoperable but has no apparent damage. If you receive defective merchandise, please email me at Bytown Instruments for assistance.

Damaged Items
If an order arrives to you with obvious shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please contact me at Bytown Instruments immediately using the contact information included with the order.

Please save all packaging material and paperwork for the order if shipping damage is a possible issue. If you dispose of packaging material or attempt to return the merchandise without contacting me, you jeopardize the chances of making a claim with the shipper, and you may not receive credit for the return.

Limits of Responsibility
I accept no responsibility for user-initiated damage and/or loss of parts incurred during operation or use of the product.
