An innovative series designed for young students and for elementary aged students who need a little extra entertainment and support.
Meet Plucky Bunny and his wonderful harp adventures. This innovative series is designed for young students and for elementary aged students who need a little extra entertainment and support. There is a strong emphasis on developing note reading, playing with all four fingers, and introducing the music theory concepts with games, worksheets, and creative projects to explore the musical alphabet, note durations, simple meter, major and minor triads, inversions, major and minor scales and generic intervals and note reading from the grand staff.
Book 1 begins with pre-reading concepts of the musical alphabet and note durations. The student goes on to learn the grand staff with note-name supports given in noteheads. By the end of the book, all lines and spaces are read using a simplified version of Plucky Bunny’s Silly Staff Songs. Book one has internal pages in color to show the pattern of red and blue on the harp strings.
This book assumes the student is likely using a smaller harp, ideally a 26-string harp with one octave below middle C. 90 pages.
