The word, "entrada" means an expedition or journey into unexplored territory. The composition is a musical journey into happy, uplifting, and joyful emotions. Like "Gloria!," it is a processional, a royal celebration, an exaltation. It is perfect for weddings, special service music, or any occasion that evokes a joyful spirit. This piece opens with a grand glissando and continues its merry themes all the way to the end. It is very exciting and lots of fun to play! Note: this piece is in ABA form so creating repeats and lengthening the music as needed is very easy to do. Frank was in a diatonic mood when he wrote this one - no lever/pedal changes.
